Odesa Railway Station, known as "Odesa-Glavnaya," is a major transportation hub for the Odesa railroad. It is situated in the Primorsky district of the city and is renowned for its high volume of train traffic. The station handles the daily arrival and departure of more than 100 passenger and freight trains.
The railway station's building is an architectural monument that suffered damage during the Great Patriotic War but was completely restored in 1952 under the supervision of Chuprin. An interesting historical note is that during the war, the clock on the station's facade was a prime target for artillery fire, resulting in many dials being replaced. It became a symbolic feature of the station. The modern Odesa railway station building also houses a clock.
"Odesa-Glavnaya" serves as the starting point for train journeys to many neighboring cities (such as Chisinau, Minsk, Moscow, Saratov, etc.). Additionally, it offers train connections to several European cities (including Prague, Wroclaw, Warsaw, Berlin, etc.).

How to get to the railway station
To the city center
The railway station of Odesa and the city center are connected by a good transport interchange. You can get to the center by the following buses (shuttle buses):
- 175, 185, 221 (to Deribasovskaya street);
- 241, 242 (to Sobornaya Square)
- trolleybus number 1 (to Grecheskaya Street).
It is worth considering that the railway station is almost in the center of the city, so you can easily walk to many places.
Airport
The international airport "Odesa" is located 7,5 km from the railway station. You can get to it by buses (route cabs) № 117 and 129, which pass through the railway station.
