Andorra's famous ski resorts
The Iberian climate is characterized by a large number of sunny days, because of the bright sun many visitors to the region prefer to ski here. From early December to mid-April, snow cover ranges from 50 to 300 cm. At night there is a light frost, and during the day the air warms up to +10°C. The snow does not melt, as it is colder near the ground.
The resorts have special modern cannons that can fill the slopes with snow if the weather suddenly lets up. The valleys are warm at this time, more like spring weather. You can go to the following resorts in the country, located in the two main ski areas, Vallnord and Grandvalira (some ways of reading it are Grand Valira):
- Pal
- Arinsal
- Ordino
- Arcalis
- Pas de la Casa
- Grau Roch
- El Tarter
- Soldeu
- Encamp
- Canillo
