Nightlife in Brussels

The capital of Belgium is famous for festivals - beer, flower, jazz.

The first ones, of course, are smaller than Oktoberfest, but they bring together almost all the brewers in the country so that everyone can taste the different beers.

The flower festivals are a mesmerizing spectacle. For two years, designers have been inspired to create a new sketch of the floral carpet that will adorn the Grand Place at the end of the summer.

One of the favorite attractions for adults and children is the Ommegang costume festival, which commemorates Emperor Charles V's visit to Brussels in 1549.

The jazz marathon takes place in the last days of May. During this time, Brussels becomes a real music box: jazz, blues, funk, and Latin can be heard in every square, club, and concert hall - around 125 concerts over three days, most of them free of charge.

The famous jazzmen give concerts at the best concert venues in the city: Ancienne Belgique, L'Archiduc, Le Botanique, Halles de Schaerbeek, Music Village.

The most popular nightclubs in Brussels are Le You, Fuse, Le Bazaar, K-Nal, and the fashionable Viage entertainment complex with a casino, restaurant, sports and cocktail bars, and a theater.

But the red-light district in the north of the city - Rue d'Aerschot, Rue Linne, and Rue de Brabant - is Brussels' nightlife hotspot. Sex shops, strip bars, and seductive women of all ages are what attract tourists here.
