Unlike most of the world, Natal experiences its seasons in reverse order. Summer in Natal runs from December to March, followed by autumn from March to June, winter from July to September, and spring from September to December.

Compared to other Brazilian cities, Natal's climate is relatively less humid, resulting in a shorter rainy season than in typical tropical cities. From June to September, when the rainy season begins, Natal remains quite warm, with air temperatures not dropping below +28°C, and the water temperature usually only one degree less than the air temperature.

Natal's Flora and Fauna

The animal life in Natal, much like the rest of Brazil, is remarkably diverse. In addition to jaguars, you can encounter pumas, foxes, bush dogs, anteaters, sloths, and a multitude of other animals here. Among reptiles, alligators, boas, and bushmasters are relatively common, although they are more prevalent in the Amazon region.

Natal's plant life is equally rich in diversity. Moist-equatorial forests thrive throughout this Brazilian resort.
