From the story of St. Constantine and Helenа
The village of St. Constantine and Helena was founded in 1908 as a small balneological resort on thermal waters. The place and the name was not chosen by chance. In the XVIII century here was located a monastery dedicated to the famous Christian saints - the Byzantine Emperor Constantine and his mother Helena. To this day, only the chapel, half buried in the ground, and the spring of holy water flowing at its foot have survived from the majestic buildings of the monastery.
Before 1993 the resort was called Druzhba. The city began to actively build up and grow only in the second half of the 40s of the twentieth century. St. Constantine and Helena gained fame as a balneological resort, famous for its thermal waters, the healing properties of which contribute to the cure of diseases of the musculoskeletal apparatus and skin.
