The whole of Costa Rica is subject to a subequatorial climate, Jaco is no exception. The rainy season in Jaco lasts from May to November. From December to April, on the contrary, there is a dry and sunny period.
Due to the fact that the exotic Costa Rican resort is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, rainfall here is much higher than in other regions of Costa Rica. When the rainy season begins in Jaco, the air temperature does not drop much, so the humidity increases greatly and the city becomes very stuffy.
Haco's vegetation and animal life
The plant life of Jaco, like the rest of Costa Rica is quite diverse. On the territory of the state can be seen 12 types of different tropical forests. The main mass of them are forests of mahogany, rosewood and balsa. Palm trees, cedrellas and ebony trees are equally popular.
Haco's animal life is no less diverse. Monkeys, pumas and jaguars predominate among the tropical fauna. A variety of reptiles and insects can be found throughout the city. Sea turtles are not uncommon. There are about 850 species of exotic birds throughout the country.
