Here, you can witness breathtaking sunsets, enjoy traditional melodies, participate in town events, savor a delicious brodet (spiced fish stew) at a local café, and fully immerse yourself in the authentic local atmosphere.
However, don't confine yourself to Umag for your entire vacation. Venture beyond the city limits to explore the stunning surroundings. Umag offers interesting trails in every direction. It's possible to reach the opposite side of the peninsula, like Kanegra, in just a couple of hours, where you can catch a glimpse of Slovenia.
Exploring the outskirts of Umag, even on foot, is a delightful experience. Take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting pine forests to the village of Murine, where you can find excellent refreshments. Alternatively, follow a hiking route around Umag, including a visit to Kanegra, where you'll find mini-golf, billiards, discotheques, snack bars, and more.
If you prefer not to walk, consider renting a bicycle (typically around 100 HRK per day). It will enable you to explore charming villages like Lovrečica, renowned for its beautiful Baroque churches, Sveta Maria na Krasu with its medieval Church of the Immaculate Virgin, Lima Fjord, famous for its delicious oysters, and many other scenic destinations.
