Water temperature in Umag
The Adriatic Sea, the cleanest in the Mediterranean basin, splashes along the rocky shores of Umag. It is also perhaps the most beautiful: its waters can change color from deep blue to mauve to azure blue.
The tides are almost imperceptible. They are on average 50 centimeters high. Waves of up to one and a half meters on the Adriatic Sea can be raised by boreal and sirocco - northeastern and southeastern winds. If a southwesterly wind replaces the sirocco, the weather deteriorates sharply and a storm begins.
The water temperature in the Adriatic Sea near Umag ranges from +9°C (in January) to +26°C (in August). You can swim here from mid-May to mid-September.
