In most countries, there is a value-added tax, VAT or VAT. In order to get some of your spending money back, there is a Tax Free system, and Cyprus has one. Look for the Global Blue Tax Free Shopping logo in store windows. When paying for your purchase, ask the store staff for a Tax Free form. There are two types of Tax Free forms, white and blue. Fill in the required boxes in block letters of the Latin alphabet.

Failure to fill in the Tax Free form will result in the denial of your refund. Before check-in, proceed to the customs counter with your completed Tax Free form, passport, cash receipts/invoices, and purchases to have your form stamped by customs. The minimum spend must be in the amount of 50 EUR.

Make sure that the goods have not been used. Do not put your Tax Free purchases in your luggage as you will need to show them to the customs officer. Go to the Refund Point counter with the Global Blue logo. Submit the completed form with a customs stamp to receive your refund in cash or on your credit card.

If you are in a hurry, mail the completed Tax Free form with a customs stamp to the Document Processing Center and get a refund on a credit card. Some airports will charge a flat fee for the "form" if you receive your refund in cash. The reimbursement you will receive is the VAT amount minus Global Blue's administrative fees.
