The entire territory of Boca Chica has a fairly mild and humid tropical climate. Water and air temperatures rarely drop below +27°C. Despite this, the seasons are divided into dry and wet seasons.
The rainy season in Boca Chica begins in May and ends in November. The dry season lasts from December through May, respectively. When the rainy season begins, Boca Chica is often hit by hurricanes, so it is not safe to be here during this time. The most favorable time for rest is considered to be winter and early spring. During this time, humidity is low, and water and air temperatures are almost identical.
Boca Chica's Vegetation and Animal Life
The flora and fauna of Boca Chica never cease to delight the eyes of everyone who visits this amazing Caribbean gem. Much of the city is covered in sparse savannahs and evergreen jungles. The mangrove trees that form a veritable thicket on the coasts deserve special attention.
The warm waters of the Caribbean Sea attract a large number of reptiles and mammals. Humpback whales, manatees, turtles, and coral fish can be found in the coastal waters. Among the birds, the most famous are the pink flamingo, the waved albatross, hummingbirds, and parrots. There are no poisonous snakes in Boca Chica, but there are huge boa constrictors and pythons. There are no large mammals in the city.
