Iasi International Airport is the largest air hub in Romania. In 2023, the air station set a record by serving 2.34 million passengers. This placed it as the 3rd busiest among airports in Romania. The air station is located 8 km east of Iasi city center.

The airport is equipped with one runway with asphalt surface. It serves flights to a developed network of international destinations, as well as domestic flights within Romania.

There are 4 terminals within the air station:

• Т1. The old terminal, which is mainly used for administrative purposes.
• Т2. Serves air travel within Romania. The building has been in operation since 2012 and provides a capacity of up to 215 passengers per hour.
• Т3. International flights traveling outside the Schengen area pass through it. This terminal was opened in 2015 and can handle up to 320 passengers per hour.
• Т4. Serves flights to Schengen countries. It is a new modern building that was opened in 2024. The terminal has an area of 32,000 m², making it the second largest in Romania. Its capacity is projected to be around 950 passengers per hour and 3.5 million people per year.

In addition, Iasi Airport has a cargo terminal. It is capable of handling up to 50 tons of cargo per hour and ensuring its transportation to different countries of the world.
