Public transportation
There is no automobile traffic in the ski resort. You can get around the resort on tractors and horse-drawn carts, which are the main transportation of Avoriaz. Their drivers will gladly take you to any place in the resort (the cost from 5 to 14 EUR depending on the distance) additional fee for luggage 3 euros. Overnight delivery is from 19:00 to 8:00, seven days a week, one fare is 8 EUR per family (Tel: +33(0)4 50 74 01 55).
Even if you've booked an airport transfer by car, the carrier will only take you to the border of the town, and then you'll have to walk or take a horse-drawn carriage.
Prices and transportation routes
At 300 meters from the entrance to the resort there is an open parking lot open 24 hours a day. It costs 65 EUR per week, 10 EUR per day. No prior reservation is necessary.
A covered parking lot is also located at the entrance to the resort. It is quite large, as it has a capacity of 1697 spaces. Its cost is 85 EUR per week, 14 EUR per day per car.
