There is no car traffic at the ski resort. Transportation around the resort is available by snowcats and horse-drawn carriages — this is the main means of transport in Avoriaz. Their drivers will gladly take you anywhere within the resort (costing from 7 to 14 EUR depending on the distance), with an additional luggage fee of 4 EUR. Night service is available from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., seven days a week, with a fixed night fare of 13.50 EUR (Tel: +33(0)4 50 74 01 55).
Even if you book a car transfer from the airport, the driver will only take you to the edge of the village, and from there you will need to walk or use a horse-drawn carriage.
Transport Prices and Routes
Three hundred meters from the resort entrance there is an open parking lot, operating 24/7. Its approximate cost is 68 EUR per week, 12 EUR per day. No advance reservation is required.
A covered parking lot is also located at the resort entrance. It is quite large, accommodating 1,697 vehicles. The cost is 91 EUR per week, 16 EUR per day per car.
