France’s capital is served by three airports. However, Charles de Gaulle Airport, located 25 kilometers northeast of Paris, is today the country’s main air gateway. It is home to the largest French airlines, including Air France.
The airport ranks among the world’s ten busiest, handling more than 60 million passengers annually. As a European transfer hub, it takes second place after London Heathrow. Flights from Charles de Gaulle connect Paris with over 315 cities worldwide.
The airport was inaugurated on March 8, 1974, and consists of three terminals. A free shuttle bus operates between them. You can find the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport map as well as real-time arrivals and departures board here.
