The most popular way to reach La Rochelle from Paris is still by train. From the airport, the fastest way to get to central Paris is by taking the RER suburban train, line B, which connects you to the main interchange stations with both the RER and the Paris Metro. The journey between the airport and the city center takes around 30 minutes. At the airport, trains stop at two stations:
“Aeroport Charles-de Gaulle 1” — serving terminals 1 and 3.
“Aeroport Charles-de Gaulle 2-TGV” — the final station, serving terminals 2 ACDEF and G.
From Terminal 1 to any of the stations on the RER system can be reached by the free CDGVAL rail shuttle. From Terminals 2 and 3, the station is easily accessible by following the signs.
To La Rochelle, trains depart from Paris' Montparnasse station every hour. Just 2.5-3 hours in a comfortable carriage of a regional train will cost an average of 60-65 EUR per person one way.
If you are not very fond of public transportation, you can get to La Rochelle by cab or rent a car right at the airport. Let us tell you right away that these options will cost you much more.
