Lake Constance or Bodensee. It is one of the largest lakes in Europe and forms a water border between Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Brandenburg Gate. This monumental arch, built in 1791, can be found in many photographs of Berlin. It is one of the symbols of the city, and almost every tourist strives to see the graceful columns of the gate and the sculpture rising above the arch in person.
Bremen Town Hall. Another landmark, but this time in Bremen. The medieval town hall, preserved almost in its original form, is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Nuremberg Fortress. This name invariably comes up when discussing the defensive structures that represent the landmarks of Germany. The fortress consists of three structures: the Imperial Castle, the Imperial City Fortress, and the Burgrave's Castle. The oldest building in the complex is the Five-Cornered Tower, built in the 11th century.
Reichstag. The building of the German Parliament is sadly associated with the times of World War II. However, it is now fully utilized for its intended purpose and also features an observation deck that is open to tourists.
Heidelberg Castle. The ruins of the castle, built in the 14th century on the slopes of Königstuhl mountain overlooking the river, still bear the imprint of a bygone era, despite the fact that only ruins remain of its former beauty.
Beethoven House. This small mansion on one of the streets in Bonn, not particularly luxurious, holds immense historical value. It was here that one of the greatest composers came into the world.
