Water temperature in Criopighi
Compared to sunny Turkey or Egypt, the coast of Greece loses a bit. The fact is that the water temperature of the Aegean Sea drops significantly in winter to +11-14°C, and makes it impossible to swim. Unlike sultry Turkey, where you can splash in the waves all year round.
As late as March, the Aegean Sea remains at a low temperature of +14-16°C, but as early as May it starts to rise to +20°C. In summer, the waters along the Greek coastline become like steamed milk - above +25°C. And they stay about the same during the velvet season: no lower than +20°C.
