The Temperature at the Dead Sea
If you're hoping for refreshing coolness in the coastal waters of Ein Bokek, you might be disappointed as the temperatures at the Dead Sea can be quite warm. In fact, during the summer and early fall, from June to September, temperatures in the Dead Sea can reach as high as +33°C. Even in October and November, the temperature only drops slightly to around +29°C.
There are times when the water temperature hovers around +20°C. During the winter months, the water temperature at Ein Bokek in the Dead Sea typically ranges from +21-23°C.
However, the main characteristic of the Dead Sea isn't its temperature but its extreme salinity. First-time visitors are advised to limit their time in the water to 3-5 sessions per day, with each session lasting 10-15 minutes. Special timers are even provided on the beaches to help you keep track. While no one will forcibly remove you from the water, it's recommended to adhere to these guidelines for your own comfort and safety.
