The most convenient way to get around the resort is on foot, but public transport is also available in Cortina d’Ampezzo. It is mainly represented by buses. In addition, charming small orange vehicles run around the resort. To travel to nearby villages, you need to go to the bus station and buy a ticket for the Dolomiti Bus — a ski bus that operates several trips a day.
You can also use taxi services, but they are quite expensive in Cortina d’Ampezzo. Taxi stands are located at the bus station and on the Passo di Falzarego. The fare is about 3.50 EUR per kilometer plus a boarding fee. For example, if you need to get from Cortina d’Ampezzo to the Pocol ski lifts, which are only 8 km away, it will cost approximately 32–35 EUR.
