Tickets can be purchased at underground passages, tobacco or newspaper kiosks. Note that you should validate them not inside the transport, but at the stop using special turnstiles.
Public transport prices in Milan:
- A single ticket for any type of transport costs 2 EUR. It is valid for 90 minutes after validation;
- An evening ticket for 3 EUR is valid from 8:00 PM until the end of service;
- A 24-hour pass costs 7.60 EUR, and a 48-hour pass — 13 EUR.
Tip for tourists using Milan’s transport: if you're not sure how often you'll use the metro or trams, buy a ticket for multiple trips (10 rides — 18 EUR).
