Barcelona's public museums have a "free day in public museums" rule. However, this rule does not apply to private museums such as Casa Batlló, Sagrada Familia and others.

Maritime Museum

This museum is dedicated to maritime themes and is located in the Royal Dockyard building. In addition to the permanent exhibitions, you can visit temporary exhibitions dedicated to a specific theme.

Barcelona History Museum

The territory of the museum covers more than 4000 m² and it can be divided into two parts: above-ground and underground. The museum includes quite a few attractions — the Monumental Ensemble of the Plaza del Rey, the Temple of Augustus, the Via Sepulcral (Roman burial grounds) of Santa Catarina, the Pedralbes Monastery Museum, the Verdaghe House Museum, Villa Joan, Shelter 307, the Turo de la Rovira and the entertainment center in the Park Güell.

Design Museum

The Design Museum is presented as the result of the merger of several previous existing museums such as the Museu de les Arts Decoratives, the Museu Tèxtil et d'Indumentària and the Gabinet de les Arts Gràfiques collection. It focuses on four design disciplines: space design, product design, information design and fashion.

Natural History Museum

According to many reviews, you may realize that this is the best natural history museum, but you can only be convinced by visiting it. The Natural Museum or Museu Blau consists of five sites located in different parts of the city.
