Beaches in Cancun

Most tourists come to the Mexican resort not only to have fun, but also to relax on Cancun's famous beaches. The total length of all beaches is 22 kilometers. Of them separately can be distinguished safe, designed for swimming - northern, as well as those that receive high waves - western.

The best beaches of Cancun are located on the northern side. They are closed from the open ocean and big waves, so they are the most favorable for recreation. There are plenty of piers and rental shops for all kinds of water equipment. The most popular beach on the north side is Playa Tortugas.

On the east side of the resort are beaches characterized by big waves and underwater currents. The most popular spot in this part of Cancun is Playa Delfines. If you don't know which beach to choose in Cancun, it's worth visiting both the northern and western parts of the resort and then deciding on your preference.

Most notable among all the beaches is Playa Punta Nizuc. Compared to the others, it is not bordered by hotels, but by a real jungle. There are no crowds of tourists, virtually no waves, and the Parque Nizuc water park is in close proximity.
