If you're ready to spend a significant amount of money on jewelry, luxury clothing and accessories when you arrive in the Mediterranean principality, then shopping in Monaco will appeal to you. There are practically no budget stores in this country. If a shopping tour in Monaco doesn't suit you because of the inflated prices, you can go shopping in nearby Milan, Geneva or Barcelona.
The largest concentration of high-end stores is in Monte Carlo and La Candamine. It is home to boutiques of brands such as: Calvin Klein, Prada, Gucci, Louiss Vuitton, DKNY, as well as prestigious watch and jewelry houses. For souvenirs, it's best to head to the Old Town.
Monaco traditionally has a biannual sale. The winter sale starts in mid-January and ends in mid-February. Monaco's summer sale season starts at the end of June and ends at the end of August. Most stores are open from 9:00 to 17:00. The largest shopping centers in the country are considered to be Metropole, Fontvieille and the Golden Circle. They are open from 9:00 to 19:00, with Sunday off.
