Many people can't imagine a trip to Morocco without a seaside vacation. And rightly so, as Morocco's Atlantic coastline is ideal for beach vacations. You can swim here from May to October, and almost any coastal town has excellent sunbathing and swimming opportunities.
Agadir
Agadir is traditionally considered the best place for a seaside vacation in Morocco. The weather here is favorable all year round; in winter, the temperature does not fall below +22°C, and in summer, the Canary Current prevents the heat from taking over the city and its surroundings. In Agadir, you will find 13 km of excellent beach suitable for both adults and children. There are excellent opportunities for surfing and other water activities. There are plenty of equipment rentals, and the price does not exceed 100 MAD per hour.
And when you're tired of lounging on the beach, you can go on one of the city's fairly inexpensive (no more than 10 USD) excursions or have fun in a nightclub. Agadir also has an excellent sea cuisine, with plenty of seafood. The atmosphere in the city is quite European, surprising after conservative Marrakech and Fez.
Essaouira
If, on a Morocco tour with a beach vacation planned, you're looking for a more traditional destination than Agadir, you can safely head to Essaouira. The ancient fort city on the Atlantic Ocean is much more in line with the Arabian city. You can stay here not only in a modern hotel but also in a classic Moroccan riad in the medina. Near the walls of the city, there is a luxurious beach. But regular strong winds and high waves make it less popular with bathers.

Casablanca
Business and bustling Casablanca has some pretty good beaches right within the city. Access to these city beaches is free, and the service is top-notch. Surfing enthusiasts will also find some on this stretch of Morocco's Atlantic coast.
Rabat
Morocco's current capital, Rabat, is also located on the ocean coast. There are beaches close to the capital, and Shkirat Beach is particularly famous among them. So you can lounge on the sand and dip your toes in the ocean waves just outside Morocco's main city.
Tangier
If you're not looking for the coolness of the ocean waves, but the gentle warmth of the Mediterranean Sea, then Tangier is the place to go. The city's beach faces the sea. A strip of soft sand will appeal to all lovers of sunbathing in the fresh air. And for a vacation with little ones, it's practically perfect.
Dakhla
Windsurfing and kiting enthusiasts can also head to Dakhla, in the Western Sahara. This is one of the best places in Morocco for active watersports and will leave no one indifferent. And for magnificent ocean scenery, devoid of human impact, you should go to the beach of Legzira. There are no hotels or other infrastructure, but it's a sight you'll remember for a long time.
