Lublin is the 9th largest city in Poland. It is located between Krakow and Vilnius. The centuries-old history and mesmerizing architecture of this city attract many tourists from all over the world.
The first permanent settlements on the site of modern Lublin were established in the early Middle Ages. Lublin received the status of a city according to the law of Magdeburg Law in 1317, and in 1474 it became the capital of the Lublin Voivodeship.

In 1569, the famous Union of Lublin was signed here to unite the Polish Kingdom and the Duchy of Lithuania into the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
