Public transportation in Romania is quite well developed. As a rule, it operates from 5:00 to 23:00. You can buy tickets for trolleybuses, buses and streetcars at specialized kiosks. Do not forget to compost them when boarding, as there are controllers working.
In Bucharest, a single ride on any public transport costs 1.3 RON, a daily pass costs 8 RON, and a weekly pass costs 18 RON. You can also move around the capital by metro. There are three lines in the city, with trains running at intervals of 5-8 minutes. A single ticket for this mode of transportation will cost 2.20 RON.
The international communication between the cities is no less well developed. Every Romanian city has its own bus station, and Bucharest has 5 of them. It is recommended to use intercity buses if you need to cover a short distance. It is better to travel through the whole country by rail.
