Public transportation in Seychelles is represented by domestic air travel, buses, and water transportation. A cab service is available in Victoria.
Domestic air transportation
The carrier in Seychelles is one and goes by the name Air Seychelles. The company's planes carry passengers from Mahe to the islands of Alphonse, Bird, Dennis, Deroche, and Praslin on a scheduled flight. The cost of such a flight is 30-65 EUR.
There is a helicopter company called Helicopter-seychelles in Seychelles. Helicopter flight is booked individually. It is also possible to book a sightseeing flight with this company.
Buses
Bus services are available on two islands in the Seychelles archipelago, Mahe and Praslin. SPTC buses run from 5:30 to 19:00. Buses run every 15 minutes, so you won't have any problems moving around the islands. A bus ticket costs 3 to 5 SCR.
Dedicated minibuses run between Victoria and the international airport.
Taxi
Taxis in Seychelles are only available on the island of Mahé. The only parking lot is in the capital Victoria, behind the post office on Albert Street. Cars are parked here 24 hours a day, and you can take a cab at any time. All cars are equipped with meters, so you will not have to bargain with the driver. For the first kilometer, you will have to pay 15 SCR, for each next kilometer - 5 SCR. You will have to pay an additional 5 SCR for luggage.
Water transportation
The Seychelles are connected by a system of ferries that regularly transport passengers from one island to another. A trip on such a ferry will cost you 70 SCR. This is much cheaper than air travel. The ferry can be considered as a separate excursion through the straits between the islands.
