Liptovský Mikuláš, like most cities in Slovakia, has a fairly quiet atmosphere. Pickpocketing and robbery are rare here, but you should keep an eye on your personal belongings on public transportation. In addition, it is not advisable to leave money and bags in cars and cabs, where there is a possibility of theft.
Security in Liptovsky Mikulasz is also maintained by security guards, which every hotel, restaurant and café has. Each ski center has its own lifeguards and the possibility to get medical assistance.
