The route to Ružomberok follows the country's main railroad, which runs through the cities of Bratislava-Zilina-Poprad-Košice. The second line of the railroad is Prague-Zilina-Poprad-Košice.
From Žilina by fast train is about an hour of travel time, by passenger train - an hour and a half.

Ružomberok has a well-established bus service in all directions. Buses run every 50 minutes. Travel time from Žilina is an hour, from Banjska Bystrica - 45 minutes.
A direct cab from Poprad will cost you about 100 EUR. Ružomberok lies on the main highway, so you can easily rent a car and get there on your own.
From the end of December to the beginning of March there is a free ski-bus from Ružomberok station to the main ski resort Malino Brdo. During the rest of the year, cab transfers are organized by most hotels.
