The capital of Slovenia is often called "little Prague". It is a beautiful city with cozy streets. If your main purpose of your trip to Ljubljana is sightseeing and their photos, you can get around and capture the main memorable places in one day. But if you have time, do not spare three days for this city to leisurely visit local museums and cathedrals, wander along the waterfront, go to the local market, sit in cozy cafes.
When you open a map of Ljubljana attractions, you will see the following "must-see" sites:
- Ljubljana Castle, around which the city was built (to see all the objects in a complex, prepare to pay from 7.5 EUR per person, with cable car both ways - 10 EUR);
- in the very center of Ljubljana's sightseeing scheme you will see the Town Hall, restored in the early 18th century;
- The main religious site of the city is the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, where services are held every day;
- When studying the sights of Ljubljana in Russian, you will find in every guidebook the Fužine Castle, inside which there is an architectural museum;
- The city's attractions also include local bridges: the Three Bridges complex, which resembles a fan, and the Dragon Bridge with its majestic arch;
- When listing all the sights of Ljubljana with names, locals always mention Nebotičnik - a 13-storey building built in the 30s of the XX century and was among the ten tallest structures in Europe.
The description of Ljubljana's sights does not end here, of course. It is also worth mentioning local parks (in particular, Tivoli Park), numerous palaces, the National Museum, the French Revolution Square, the monument to Slovenian poet Franz Prešerna and other interesting objects.
