Public Transportation
The central street of Gstaad is pedestrianized. There is a bus service between the nearest villages in the mountainous area. Still, the main transportation in Gstaad is the ski elevators, which can take you not only to the top of the slopes but also to the neighboring ski regions.

To see the main sights of Gstaad, you can take the panorama train. It costs CHF 19 for a sightseeing tour.
When you arrive in this snowy mountainous region, you can forget about civilized means of transport for a few days and go hiking in the mountains or take a horse-drawn or dog-drawn sleigh ride.
