St. Moritz is one of the oldest ski resorts in the world, beloved by royalty, billionaires, politicians, and actors. Despite the high cost, there are a lot of people who want to relax here - the town with a permanent population of 6000 people receives about one and a half million guests annually.
The skiing area is divided into three sectors: Corviglia (2488 meters), Corvatsh (3451 meters), and Diavolezza (2973 meters). The cable car takes you to Corviglia, the lower station of which is located directly in St. Moritz. Experienced skiers will be interested in the slopes around the Marguns and Suvretta stations, while snowboarders will enjoy the fun park with a half-pipe at the top of Munt da San Murezzan. Corvatsch can be reached by bus (about 15 minutes). Red runs predominate here, there are virgin areas for freeriding and trails for hikers. The descent through Giand'Alva, past Lake Hahnensee, leading to the bus station in St. Moritz is interesting. On Friday and Saturday nights, there is a Snow Night Party, during which you can ski on the lighted piste until 02:00 and then enjoy alcoholic drinks in the bar. Diavolezza is famous for its three-kilometer black slope and off-piste skiing area.
