In the immediate vicinity of St. Moritz there are about 350 kilometers of ski slopes. Blue slopes predominate with 51% of the total, green slopes are in second place and red and black slopes are in the minority. The most popular time for tourists to visit is from late December to January, when the snow cover reaches the highest levels.
St. Moritz also has a number of very challenging ski slopes. One of them is the famous Hahnensee black run, which is about 8 kilometers long, while the Halmensee - Corvatsch -- St. Moritz Bad link has a total length of 11 kilometers. Also very close to St. Moritz lie the glaciers of the Diavolezza ski area - Bernina with its excellent hard slopes of the Diavolezza massif in the south and Lagalb in the northeast. This 30km area is perfect for off-piste skiing.
