Ko Lan Island is quite popular among Pattaya vacationers as a beach vacation destination. You can get there by ferry from Bali Hai Pier, or from any of the beaches by booking a speedboat individually.
There are three ways to get from Bali Hai Pier to Koh Lan, and we'll cover each of them below.
Ferry to Ko Lan from Bali Hai Pier
To Naban Pier or Tawaen Beach
The easiest and most budget-friendly way is to take a ferry to Naban Pier or Tawaen Beach. Find ferries to Naban on the right side of the pier, to Tawaen on the left.
Tickets are sold at the pier in Pattaya and at the entrance to the ferry. On the return journey, tickets can only be bought on the ferry.
Travel time is 40-45 minutes to Naban, 45-50 minutes to Tawaen.
Price - 30 THB one way.
Sailing schedule is different for each ferry. The interval of movement is 1-2 hours. You can find the current schedule at the Bali Hai Pier at the ticket booths and in the announcements on the ferry itself.
To Samae Beach
A package deal, a trip to Koh Lan and back for 100 THB. These ferries take you to Samae Beach, and from there it's an easy 7-10 minute walk to Tien Beach. There are fewer vacationers on these beaches, plus you won't have to spend time and money to travel from Naban or Tawaen.
Tickets are sold at the ticket office at Bali Hai Pier.
Travel time is 45 minutes.
Price - 100 THB round trip.
Schedule. Ferries to Koh Lan from Pattaya depart at 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, and 13:30. Return trips to Bali Hai Pier depart at 15:00, 16:00, and 17:00 from Samae Beach.
