Koh Lanta doesn't have an airport, so if you're planning a trip to the island, it's best to fly to the airport of any of the nearest resorts - Phuket, Trang or Krabi. You can also get here by car or bus. The crossing to Lanta Island is made to Saladan Pier.

Tickets at travel agencies
Many travel agencies in Phuket sell package tickets to Saladan Pier. These include bus transfers and a speedboat ferry. The main plus is that they are timed, so you don't have to wait for the crossing or travel an extra distance on public transportation. However, the price for these will be higher.
Through the bus station in Phuket Town
From Phuket Bus Station, you will need to take a minibus that will take you to the pier. The only downside is that the minibus goes through Krabi bus station, where it has a parking lot for about 30 minutes.

Koh Lanta from Bangkok
Air travel
You can take a domestic flight from Bangkok to Trang airport or Krabi, such a flight usually takes about an hour. Then you can take ground transportation to the pier.
Be aware that most domestic flights depart from Don Muang. If you're flying into Suvarnabhumi, you'll need to allow plenty of time to travel between airports.
A bus from Kaosan Road
It only goes as far as the transfer station in Surat Thani, then you'll need to wait for a shuttle bus to Ko Lanta. The waiting time can be as long as two hours.

Important! Ticket prices vary depending on the season and travel agency rates. And traveling by water transportation will always be more expensive than traveling by land. Also, consider that flights to other resorts depart in the morning, from 08:30 to 13:30. After 14:00, you will need to book a cab.
