General Information about Moo Koh Lanta National Park
Moo Koh Lanta National Park is located within the province of Krabi, with a total area of over 134 square meters. The national park consists of several islands, Lanta Yai and Lanta Noi being the largest of them. It also includes the neighboring islets Ko Rok, Ko Mai Ngam Tai, Ko Ta La Beng, Ko Ngai, Ko Tu Kon Lima, Ko Rok Nok.
Travel time to the Park from Saladan Village is about 45 minutes;
The entrance fee is from 100 THB, if you arrive after 5:30 pm you can enter for free and witness the stunning sunset.
History of the Island's National Park
Lanta National Park was established in 1990. It aims to preserve the island's natural resources and coral reefs in the Andaman Sea. Koh Lanta has mangrove forests and many species of exotic animals, reptiles, and birds.
There is virtually no infrastructure here, except for one hotel and a small restaurant. Mostly, vacationers come here for excursions.
