In Bodrum, you can reach any point of the city by minibus, known locally as "dolmuş." Taxis are also a convenient way to get around. If you have the option to rent a car, it will save you time and give you the freedom to explore. Ferries also run between the resort and the Greek islands.
Types of Public Transport in Bodrum
Dolmuş
The most budget-friendly transport in Bodrum is the small minibus, or dolmuş, which holds up to 20 passengers. However, during peak hours they can get very crowded. To stop a dolmuş, simply wave your hand to the driver.
Fare. You pay 1.5 TRY upon boarding, regardless of the number of stops.
Routes. Dolmuş operates within Bodrum and also runs to nearby towns.
Bus stations. Dolmuş buses depart from the Bodrum Otogari station, located at the intersection of Cevat Şakir Caddesi, Nafız Özsoy Caddesi, and Turgut Reis Caddesi. A good landmark is the Migros hypermarket.
Ferry
Speedboats and cargo ferries depart daily from Bodrum to Greece. Water routes connect ten Turkish ports and six Greek islands.

Destinations. The ferry is popular among tourists wishing to visit Greek islands such as Rhodes, Samos, Chios, and Kos, as well as other Turkish Aegean resorts like Marmaris and Datça;
Ports for sea trips are located in Kuşadası, Marmaris, Bodrum, and Çeşme.
