Due to its location in a tranquil bay and surrounded by mountains, there are no strong winds in Marmaris. Only moderately weak winds occasionally blow from the east and north. Precipitation continues to occur frequently in the form of rain and wet snow.
Spring season
Gradually, the sun starts to warm the earth, appearing more frequently on the horizon. Temporary wind gusts and excessive precipitation gradually decrease, giving way to truly spring-like weather.
March
Although the sun starts to appear more often on the horizon, the weather remains cloudy and rainy. There are no winds near the coast, but the farther away you go, the more likely you are to see waves. Therefore, lovers of sea excursions and water sports need to be particularly careful. In March, heavy and prolonged rain showers become frequent.
April
The daytime temperature reaches a comfortable +20°C, but at night it noticeably cools down to +10°C.
The water temperature warms up to +18°C. However, it is not yet recommended to swim in the sea.
April is perhaps the best time for a "contemplative" weekend: exotic plants in semi-flowering form, forest landscapes, mountain views, almost empty beaches, and the splendour of natural colours.
The number of clear days increases significantly in mid-spring. However, rain showers persist.
May

From this time, the long-awaited tourist season finally begins. It is now safe to go into the water without freezing. You can engage in surfing, sailing, or enjoy boat and catamaran rides. Pristine sandy beaches eagerly await the first tourists. The weather becomes clear with periodic cloudiness and a cool refreshing breeze.
Summer season
Air and water warm up quite slowly. However, by mid-season, the air temperature reaches its maximum mark. Therefore, it is important to take precautions and protect yourself from excessive ultraviolet rays.
June
The thermometer rises to +30°C. The night indicator drops by only two degrees.
The temperature of the seawater has warmed up to +23°С.
June brings hot weather to Marmaris. The intense heat is relieved by a light sea breeze, refreshing mountain air, and pine forests. It is perfect for sunbathing and swimming during the day, and for strolling through the city and sitting in one of the cafes in the evening.

The average air temperature stays around +35°C. During particularly clear and hot periods, the thermometer can reach +40°C.

In August, the temperature of both the air and water remains similar to the previous month, but the sea becomes two degrees warmer.The western and southwestern breezes become stronger over time.
The sky is clear blue without a single cloud. There is no precipitation at all, allowing you to spend the entire day splashing in the crystal-clear water. The sea is calm without storms.
Autumn period
After the hot summer, a gradual cooling and the first occasional rains set in.
September
The air temperature slightly drops to around +30°C...+32°C.
The water temperature remains the same: +25°C.
Autumn makes its presence felt as the season progresses. The weather doesn't hinder enjoyable beach relaxation, and you can still swim in the sea until the end of the month. However, occasional strong gusts of wind and heavy rainfall may slightly dampen the pleasant atmosphere. It's advisable to check the weather forecast before you travel to Marmaris.
October
The air is warmed up to +25°С.
Sea water also slowly cools down to +20°С.
Autumn fully enters into its legal rights. The weather still does not interfere with a full-fledged beach holiday, and you can splash in the water until the end of the month. Only beginning strong wind gusts and heavy rainfall can darken the pleasant atmosphere. Before travelling to Marmaris, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the weather forecast in advance.

Water keeps a stable indicator of +20°C. Swimming is not recommended.
The last month of autumn is characterized by an increased number of cloudy days and rain. Hailstorms with thunder and chilling winds may occur. On clear days, it's best to plan excursions or gather around a bonfire with friends.
