The map of Seattle includes not only the old city proper, but also many surrounding neighborhoods. Many of them are officially annexed to the city, but, in fact, have some autonomy. It is believed that the city was finally formed in 1954 after the annexation of a number of areas in the vicinity of present-day N. 145th Street and N. 145th and N. 85th Street. Even so, the boundaries of the Seattle city map are still debated.
Nevertheless, it is possible to distinguish the main neighborhoods of Seattle. First of all, this is the central part, where high-rises stretch into the sky, expensive establishments work, and many homeless people live on the streets. On its outskirts is Belltown, where there are no homeless, but rather expensive housing. If you have enough money, this is the Seattle neighborhood where it's best to live. The South Lake Union neighborhood is the domain of Amazon. Nearly half of the offices belong to this company, and almost all establishments have special offers for its employees. This is a new and rapidly developing neighborhood in downtown Seattle.
