Stowe Slopes

Types and difficulty of trails in Stowe.

The snow cover in the resort allows skiing from late November to early April. There are 68 km of ski slopes in Stowe. Of these, 6 km is the length of the high difficulty ski slope. For beginners 20 km are equipped, and for professionals - 42 km. The latter include four slopes of Mansfield Mountain - Liftline, Goat, Starr, National. They are known as Front Four - the most difficult in the whole East Coast. Professionals will also be pleased with the Bypass, which runs through the forest. The altitude difference at the resort is 702 meters.

Stowe ski slopes include the slopes of Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak. The latter is equipped with slopes only on one side, and the former - on two sides. They are united by a single gondola. At the same time, Mansfield is considered a zone for beginners. There is a ski school located there and most of the slopes are blue and green. This includes the best off-piste skiing areas. Although the lower part of the Spruce Peak slopes have beginner areas too.

Intermediate skiers are recommended mainly to ski the slopes at Stowe on the Spruce Peak side of the mountain. At Mansfield, they can ride the upper part of Nosedive. Gondolier and Perry Merrill are open to lovers of wide slopes.

The Toll Road green run is recommended for skiers of all levels. The relative ease of the descent is offset by incredible views of the mountain peaks.
