6. Most Vietnamese understand English. But it is definitely worth learning at least the names of dishes in Vietnamese. It will be easier to understand restaurant menus.
7. There are plenty of pickpockets on the streets of Vietnam, so keep a close eye on your wallet and other valuables.
8. In Hanoi and Homishin, crossing the road will not be easy. Speeding motorcycles and cars practically ignore pedestrians. So be extra careful.
9. If you want to see the pagodas not only from the outside, but also from the inside, it is worth remembering that you should leave your shoes outside the temple. And turning your back to a Buddhist shrine is considered sacrilege.
10. Don't be overtly displeased, even if you are attacked by street vendors. Try to smile - this way you are less likely to get into a conflict and more likely to be rejected.
