The skiing area of the Kaprun ski resort is located at an altitude of 900 meters - 3029 meters. The total length of the ski piste is 55 km, for cross-country skiing - 32 km. Blue and red pistes prevail in terms of difficulty. There are some black ones, but they do not differ much from the red ones.
All of Kaprun's ski slopes are organized into two ski areas. For beginners, the Maiskogel zone is 1675 meters high. The terrain here is calmer and will not scare first-time skiers. The main ski slopes in Kaprun are located on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. Here the snow cover is suitable for skiing almost all year round, while in the lower areas the skiing season starts at the end of November and lasts until mid-April.
The highest point from which skiing starts is the Gipfel station at an altitude of 3029 meters. From there you can descend to the Alpincenter station, which is located in the middle of the slope. Here, besides cafes and restaurants, there are three snow parks and a superpipe. The ski slopes of Kaprun then lead to two valleys at the foot of the mountain.
