If you're visiting Austria as a family, make an interesting cultural program for the youngest tourists as well. Here are just a few of the activities for kids in Vienna:
ZOOM Museum
There are several programs for kids of different ages (workshops, interactive studios, animation studio, etc.).
Haus des Meers Oceanarium
The Haus des Meers (House of the Sea) is the local oceanarium where you can see the most exotic inhabitants of the underwater world.
Schönbrunn Zoo and Maze
The world's oldest zoo, Schoenbrunn Zoo is home to more than 500 species of animals living in the wild.
The Ferris wheel in Prater Park
What's a vacation with kids in Vienna without rides! Don't forget the Vienna Ferris Wheel and the Children's Park in Prater.
And all this is just the minimum program!
Prater Cultural and Exhibition Center
No matter how many days you plan to spend in the city, be sure to visit Vienna's premier amusement park, the famous Prater, where there's plenty to do for adults and children alike.
There are playgrounds, amusement rides, a velodrome, a hippodrome, a planetarium, museums (including Madame Tussauds), a mini railroad and, of course, cafes. Entrance to the park is free, but for the rides you will have to pay from 1 to 10 EUR. You can ride segways around the park. The rides are only open in summer, but in winter the park is free to visit.
