Public transportation in Vienna
The capital of Austria easily caters to every transportation need. It is at the service of locals and visitors alike:

Remember the name - Wiener Linien, or "Vienna Lines". This is Vienna's public transportation, which includes streetcar lines, buses, subways and electric trains. All of these operate on a regular schedule, and to travel here you will need a single ticket, which is accepted in any form of transportation. Depending on how long you stay in the city and how busy your trip is, you can buy a single ticket or a special pass.
If you're here for 2-3 days, during which you plan to see a lot of sights, buy a Vienna Card. It entitles you to free use of all local transportation plus discounts on sightseeing and museums. The Vienna Card costs EUR 18.90 for two days and EUR 21.90 for three days.
There's another opportunity to save money: Vienna's transportation is half as cheap for children aged 6 to 15 (the price of a single intracity ticket for an adult passenger is 1.8 EUR). On weekends, children ride free of charge.

Velorickshaws and bicycle taxis also offer their services in Vienna. It's not cheap (10-30 EUR around the city center), but you'll definitely remember it.
