Nassau has many beaches, almost all of which are owned by hotels or bars. There are a few urban beaches near the harbor.
One of the best beaches in Nassau is Paradise Beach on Paradise Island. It is connected to the city by a bridge. When deciding which beach to choose in Nassau, check out these options:
Sanditos Beach is a mini-resort on a microscopic island near Paradise Island. It has boat and boat rentals and offers outdoor equipment. You'll find a bar with drinks and snacks. You can get here by small ferry or boats.
Jankanu Beach is near Nassau Harbor with inexpensive infrastructure.
Cable Beach is a private white-sand beach with bars along the shore, a kind of resort within a resort. It's home to the largest hotels, casinos, restaurants and stores. There are sea urchins near the shore, so slippers are issued at the entrance.
All the beaches on the island are well equipped, protected and quite civilized. You'll enjoy the blue ocean, surf and white sand at almost any of them. There are shuttle buses along the beaches, so if you don't like one, you can go to another. Many bars and hotels have their own beaches.
