There is no other place in Istria with such fabulously beautiful white-sand beaches, marked with EU blue flags for cleanliness and environmental friendliness! Conventionally, the whole beach strip is divided into three zones: Pancake, Lanterna, Girandella.
1. Maslenica
It is surrounded by several hotels that make up the Flower Hotel Complex and a dense pine forest. The 500 meters long tourist area includes many restaurants, bars, swimming pools, sports facilities for volleyball, beach soccer, diving, parasailing, windsurfing.
A separate section of the beach is specially equipped for people with disabilities. The entrance to the sea is gentle and shallow for tens of meters.
2. Girandella
"Nestled" among the island cliffs, near the picturesque promenade of Rabac. It's a great place for families with kids - once you've had enough of basking in the sun, you can relax in the shade of the gardens, eat delicious vanilla ice cream, rollerblade or skateboard along the coastline.
3. Lanterna Beach
A charming beach in the eastern bay of the Istrian peninsula. Its main feature is the vibrating blue waves in a ring of mountain ledges up to 200 meters high. In the early morning, there is a soft milky mist on Lanterna, and in the afternoon, there is a refreshing sea breeze from which you can take refuge in one of the cozy coves. Comfortable slopes to the sea are located among the rocks.
This place will appeal to both fans of secluded romantic vacations and extremists: the favorable winds make Lanterna a Mecca for windsurfers. On the beach, there are water islands, catamaran, and banana boat rental centers. Sun loungers can be rented from 2 EUR.
Which beach in Rabac is the best, you can understand only after visiting them all. An alternative to pebble beaches are the concrete platforms of St. Andrew's Bay with convenient entrances to the sea and water sports centers. They are particularly popular during periods when the cold wind blows in from the direction of Girandella.
