Rabac Attractions

The Rabac sightseeing map is labeled:

• Teleferica - built during the Italian rule of Istria. During the Second World War, bauxite was mined here, and today the island-topped buildings with "eye sockets" peek out of the coastal Mediterranean greenery like the hulks of an ancient fortress.
• The Perle installation - scatterings of "pearls" on the coastal cliffs, which are considered one of the most significant monuments of modern Croatian art.

• Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Labin (5 km from Rabac). This magnificent three-nave church, which combines a unique medieval style of architecture with elements of baroque decoration, occupies a special place on the map of attractions in Rabac. Its façade is decorated with a statue of Senator Antonio Bollani, a Venetian lion, and the inner nave with six marble altars to the glory of the Virgin Mary, St. Sergius and St. James.
• Fortica Fortress at Labina. After a few days spent in the pine paradise of Rabac, it's nice to stroll through the narrow medieval streets of Labinj with cobblestone sidewalks, narrow battlements windows and red tiled roofs.
• The Pretorian Palace (XV century) and the early 18th-century Battiala Lazzarini Palace. On the hill of Albona (now Labin), which has existed since Roman times, many ancient palaces have been preserved. In the list of attractions in Rabac, they are listed with their names.
