Climate in Rabac

The weather conditions in Rabac are close to ideal or even fabulous. The average air temperature in Rabac from May to September is +27°C, the waters of the Adriatic Sea in the "high season" warm up to +23-25°C. At the same time, the mild Mediterranean climate gives visitors to the coast up to 2600 hours of sunshine a year.

The climate of Rabac is particularly mild. The heat of up to +32°C in July and August is easily tolerated thanks to the fresh sea breeze, dry air and the abundance of olive and pine groves in the resort area.

There are few places on Earth where nature is as generous as in Rabac. There are many delightful coves and underwater caves, hilly and rocky areas covered with a carpet of medicinal herbs and low shrubs. The town is flanked on all sides by picturesque vineyards.

Rabac's vegetation and animal life

Rabac is a green resort. Its vegetal palette is formed by luxuriant olive groves, pine forests that terrace down to the coast, vineyards and orchards that flank the town. On the well-warmed mountainsides you can find real alpine meadows.

The fauna of Rabac is less diverse. In the coastal areas you can find unhurried turtles, in the forests there are partridges, grouse, more than a dozen species of woodpeckers. The island of Cres, the closest to Rabac, is home to the rare white-headed vulture eagle. There are practically no dangerous animals in Rabac. The few steppe areas and the foothills are home to lizards and snakes, which is something to keep in mind when hiking to Labin, for example.
