Summer.
In summer, there's no point in finding out the weather in Larnaca a week in advance - it's almost always sunny and hot. From June to August it rarely rains and temperatures range from +25°C (early summer) to +30°C. Daylight hours in June reach 14.5 hours.
Is it worth traveling to Larnaca in summer if you can't stand the heat? It's not a good idea, in which case we'd advise postponing your trip until early fall or late spring.
Autumn.
If you've decided, "I'm going to Larnaca in September!", you've made the right choice. At this time, the heat is off, but the weather forecast for Larnaca promises warm weather days with air temperatures around +25°C. The water in the sea is still warm and you can swim here even in early November. From mid-October onwards, however, evenings get cooler and it rains occasionally, so check the weather in Larnaca 5 days ahead to make sure you have the right closet.
Winter.
December is when the rainy season begins in Larnaca. It is in December and January that we get the most rainfall, although the average temperature is around +12°C. The winter here is more similar to our usual fall, but it is not very pleasant to walk around the city in the pouring rain. Given the resort nature of the region, winter is definitely not a good time to visit Larnaca.
Spring.
Spring in the region is short and cool only at the beginning of the season, with temperatures averaging +13°C in March and approaching +20°C at the end of April. When traveling here in April, it is worth checking the weather in Larnaca for 3 days ahead, as rain is possible. May brings sunny, warm days with water temperatures reaching +20°C.
When is it cheaper to go to Larnaca?
In general, Larnaca is considered almost the most democratic of the popular resorts of Cyprus, and prices here are lower than in Ayia Napa or Protaras, even in the "high season". The biggest influx of tourists is traditionally in August, but in spring and fall there are fewer guests - accordingly, the prices fall. In winter and early spring the cost of accommodation is the most affordable, but still it is not the best time to visit Larnaca: the local attractions will take you for one or two days, and beach pleasures at this time of year are unavailable. Therefore, late spring and early to mid-autumn is the most sensible time to visit Larnaca for an affordable vacation.
