Lublin Airport is an important transportation hub in eastern Poland. It is a new modern air terminal, which was put into operation in 2012. It is located near the town of Świdnik at a distance of 10 km from the center of Lublin.
The air terminal operates domestic and international flights. It acts as a hub for the low-cost carrier Wizz Air. In addition, Lublin receives aircraft of several airlines, including LOT Polish Airlines and Ryanair. It serves about 450 thousand passengers annually.
