The largest airports in Ukraine
- Boryspil Airport is the largestairport in terms of transportation volume. It is located at a distance of 19 km from the city of Kiev. The airport building consists of 5 terminals. Boryspil Airport serves 43 international and 9 Ukrainian airlines to 95 destinations worldwide (83 international flights and 12 domestic flights). Boryspil Airport is the base airport for SkyUp Airlines. Among others, a large number of flights are served by Azur Air Ukraine, Ukraine International Airlines, Windrose, etc.
- Lviv Danila Halytsky Airport (Sknilov) is the largest in Western Ukraine. Its capacity is about 2,000 passengers per hour. It is located 6 km from the city. After reconstruction for Euro 2012, the airport was named the best in the CIS. It consists of two terminals and serves both international and domestic flights.
- Kiev Zhulyany Airport. The building of the international airport is located 8 km from the central part of the city of Kiev. It mainly serves flights of low-cost carriers. It consists of three terminals, but only two of them are working. The airport infrastructure is quite multifaceted, there is a museum of aviation, which is recognized as the largest in Ukraine.
- Odessa Airport. Total capacity: 400 pass/hour, is engaged in servicing flights of international and domestic importance. According to the data of 2018 passenger traffic amounted to 1 million 446 thousand passengers. Odessa Airport terminals are located in the south-western part of Odessa city, the distance to the center is 7.5 km. It is in the group of the largest airports in Ukraine, serves flights to many cities in Ukraine, CIS, has connections with Western Europe, Asia and Africa.
- Kharkiv Airport is located 12 km from the city. It is considered to be the largest in Eastern Ukraine. The airport consists of two passenger terminals, there is also a cargo terminal. The new terminal is engaged in servicing international and domestic flights, the old terminal is engaged in VIP-service. The capacity of the international airport is more than 1700 passengers per hour, potential passenger traffic - 4.5 million people per year.
